Ways of doing

Jordi’s work has involved, over the last 25 years, constant and passionate research. He has recovered traditional carpentry hand tools and has reinterpreted their use, which has allowed him to achieve unique and innovative forms of great beauty, inspired by nature.

Respect for the environment is another of his great concerns. He uses native woods

(native apricot, almond, olive, wild olive, oak, pine and *cypress), rubble (old north and *cepí) or others that certify a sustainable origin both from the forests and the social environment where they come from. That is the reason why he has been involved in the recovery of cultivation and use of wood from native species and in raising awareness of making rational use of it.

As for the finishing touches, whenever possible they are done with linseed oil with *turpentine,
which are natural products that feed the wood and keep it alive.

Work philosophy and life in the workshop

A piece of furniture, an object… they have to be long-lasting and able to be passed down to multiple
generations. They have to be high-quality, useful and beautiful.
The pieces that Jordi designs are unique and co-designed with the people that are going to use them.
During this process, multiple things are taken into account: functionality, environmental harmony,
raw materials, the recipient’s personality… The goal is to create high-quality, long-lasting objects
that capture an essence with emotion.
Jordi is deeply convinced that materials and shapes have an impact on our emocional well-being
and health. That is the reason why his designs often portrait organic shapes and are made with solid
woods and finished with natural oils.
